It depends on the qualification, the boat, the insurance company, and what you plan to do with the vessel in Spain. ⚓
📚 What Is IYT?
IYT stands for
International Yacht Training. They offer a range of recreational boating and yachting qualifications recognised in many countries around the world. 🌍
Some Spanish marinas, charter companies and insurance providers may accept certain IYT qualifications for private recreational boating.
However, acceptance is not always automatic. ⚠️
⚖️ Spain Can Be Different
Spain has its own boating regulations and qualification structure.
Different authorities, marinas, insurers and charter operators may interpret qualification acceptance differently.
